This document provides the current implementation status of all steps in the AdLab Laboratory System project.

Recent Updates (November 2024)

Step 16 Completed

  • Successfully merged PERSONAL_LAB and HISTOPATOLOGO roles
  • Data migration completed without issues
  • All tests passing (593 total)
  • Dashboard consolidation implemented
  • Granular permission system active

Current System Health

  • Tests: 593 passing, 0 failing
  • Migrations: All applied (latest: 0014_report_histopathologist_optional)
  • Docker: All containers healthy
  • Performance: Optimized with proper indexing

Next Priorities

Immediate (Q1 2025)

  1. Configure SMTP for production email delivery
  2. Implement backup and restore system
  3. Set up metrics collection in Sentry

Short-term (Q2 2025)

Conclusion

The AdLab Laboratory System has a solid foundation with all core features fully implemented and tested. The system handles the complete laboratory workflow from protocol submission through report delivery. Missing components focus on operational excellence (monitoring, backup), scalability (multi-tenancy), and user support (documentation).

The system is production-ready for core operations with the understanding that SMTP configuration is needed for email delivery in production environments.
